Financial Literacy Programs

As a community bank, we want to help our neighbors of all ages understand and manage their money to develop good financial habits. Here are some ways we can help you!

For Kids

  • Our All Star Savers account encourages kids to save by surprising them with incentives when they reach financial milestones.
  • We offer free Bank tours and visits for local Boy and Girl Scout troops, Brownie Troops and Cub Scouts.
  • We host an annual, three-part “Piggy Bankers” financial literacy program in conjunction with Self Help Inc. The program teaches young children (ages 4-6) about earning, spending and saving money.

Plus, we will always make ourselves available to present a free, hands-on financial literacy program that teaches parents how to talk to their kids about money.

For Young Adults

  • We visit local high school classrooms to teach young adults about saving money, building credit and finding job opportunities in banking.
  • We participate in Credit for Life, a regional seminar designed to teach teens about the importance of establishing good credit.

For Adults

  • We sponsor educational first-time homebuyer programs and participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program to help qualified new buyers with their down payment and closing costs.
  • We host a retirement planning series which provides guidance to help people make informed financial decisions and plan for their future.*
