TRUST & ESTATE SERVICES
Dedham Savings is pleased to offer customized trust services and solutions through Plimoth Investment Advisors.
What is a Trust?
A Trust is a legal entity created by an individual (called a grantor) to hold and eventually distribute their assets. Individuals create trusts for a wide range of reasons, but most commonly they are created as part of an overall estate plan which will ensure their assets are distributed to the family members or other beneficiaries in an orderly manner and in accordance with their wishes.
A key aspect of creating a trust is the appointment of a Trustee, who has the responsibility of both managing trust assets and the fiduciary administration of the trust to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
