Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Community Builders’ Project at Franklin Park Community Corner

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $7,000 in support of The Community Builders’ new project at Franklin Park Community Corner.  Funds will be used to update the Community Corner and develop a welcoming and inviting space where community members can receive needed supports. Renovations will help the space to fit in well with neighboring buildings, as well as make it easier to spot the entrance for those who need to find the Community Corner and all it has to offer.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY BUILDERS

The Community Builders is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build and sustain strong communities where people can thrive. The Franklin Park Community Center offers programming centered around health and wellness, youth development, community engagement, career development, and asset building.

ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings in 2000 to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood and contiguous areas.  Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations.  The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
