Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Parkway Community YMCA

Parkway Community YMCA Logo

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $10,000 to Parkway Community YMCA in West Roxbury.   Grant funds will be used to provide financial aid for Dedham youth who need access to out-of-school time and camp services, and for teens who otherwise would not have access to the Youth & Government program. The Access Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance to families who would otherwise have no other option for quality childcare or would not be able to allow their teens to take part in YMCA programs.

The Parkway Community YMCA has supported Dedham families and children for many years through its after and before school care at the Avery, Oakdale, Riverdale and Greenlodge schools. The YMCA also has a partnership with Dedham High School to provide a Youth and Government program.

ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings in 2000 to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood and contiguous areas.  Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations.  The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
