Stephanie Perkins Graduates From New England School For Financial Studies

Stephanie Perkins, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager in Needham, has completed graduation requirements for the New England School for Financial Studies (NESFS), according to an announcement by Robert Erasmi, Executive Vice President & Chief Retail Banking Officer at Dedham Savings.

Noted Erasmi, “The NESFS schooling is an intensive financial education program. Stephanie graduated with the tools needed to manage effectively in today’s changing industry. It broadened her supervisory skills and strengthened her focus on making decisions that promote the success of Dedham Savings.”

The NESFS program provides professional growth opportunities to employees of member banks and those in the financial services industry.  Program curriculum focuses on topics such as financial management, technology, lending, marketing, and other strategic industry issues.  To complete the school program, students enroll in a one-year course of study, including two intensive one-week sessions at the Babson Executive Conference Center.  Students must also complete five bank-specific research papers and participate in bank-management simulations presenting typical challenges facing today’s senior bank managers.

As Assistant Vice President & Branch Manager, Perkins oversees the Bank’s Needham branch, including monitoring account opening and transaction procedures, training and overseeing employees, and working to grow deposits at the branch. With nearly 30 years of experience at Dedham Savings, Perkins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UMASS Boston, as well as a Certificate in Accounting from Curry College. In the community, she volunteers with the Visiting Nurse Association Community Council and the Charles River Center Events Committee. Perkins lives in Norwood with her family.
