Annual Ebenezer Burgess 1831 President’s Award | 2021 Jackie Johnson

Since 2012, the Dedham Savings Ebenezer Burgess 1831 Presidents Award has been bestowed upon an employee who embodies the Bank’s values and culture. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the creation of the award, which is named after the Bank’s founding President and recognizes an employee with outstanding job performance, as well as volunteer efforts, camaraderie, and “going above and beyond”. Ultimately, the right name invariably rises to the top of the list and an exceptional and well-respected winner is chosen.

Peter Brown, Dedham Savings President & CEO, has announced that the winner of the 2021 Ebenezer Burgess 1831 President’s Award is Jackie Johnson, Main Office Branch Manager.

Being well respected is a wonderful compliment that certainly applies to Jackie. A calm, approachable demeanor, a grace when making difficult decisions, and a willingness to step into any situation is what she brings to Dedham Savings every day. In addition, customers have come to rely upon her sound knowledge and steadfastness, and an ongoing “fan club” exists among many of Bank patrons.

Community Service is an area that has become more difficult to take part in over the last two years, due to COVID-19. However, various important causes have continued and have benefitted from Jackie’s participation. Meals on Wheels deliveries, the Bank’s annual Shred Day, Dedham Day, and the Endicott Summer Concert Series all allowed our Bank to shine due to this Jackie’s personal time commitment. Additionally, during the holiday season that finds so many people in need, the Toys for Tots Program and the St. Vincent De Paul Holiday Clothing Drive achieved amazing success due to her coordination and efforts.

Congratulations to Jackie on being chosen for this honor and rewarded for her dedication!

Past recipients of the Ebenezer Burgess 1831 President’s Award include: Jose Camacho, Jaclyn Tilks, Valleri Lovely, Shara Colantuoni, Paul Pelletier, Deleila Mouawad, Lori Favreau, Michael Brennan, and the 2020 Dedham Savings Employees.
