The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Dreamfar High School Marathon. Grant funds will be used to support the development of a modern, user‑friendly website that reflects the program’s growth, improves accessibility, and streamlines the registration process. This new online platform will help Dreamfar reach more teens, strengthen community engagement and enhance communication to highlight student and mentor stories.
ABOUT DREAMFAR HIGH SCHOOL MARATHON
Dreamfar is New England’s first high‑school marathon training program inclusive, mentor‑supported distance‑running initiative serving Greater Boston teens of all backgrounds and abilities. Entering its 18th season, the program provides free, no‑experience‑needed access to wellness, mentorship, and personal growth. Through strong mentor relationships, Dreamfar helps teens build confidence, friendships, and lifelong healthy habits.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, Westwood, and contiguous areas. Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations, and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
