The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Caritas Communities. Grant funds will be used for a roof repair project which will provide comfort and safety to Caritas Communities residents, who are mostly homeless veterans, elderly and disabled individuals, and marginalized people in the Greater Boston area. The roof of the housing unit in Boston is home to 68 vulnerable adult individuals and is in critical need of roof repair. Repairing the roof will address safety concerns with the current state of the roof, extend the use of the building for another several decades, and provide a safe and properly cared for home for many.
