Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Dedham Library Innovation Team

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $5,000 to the Dedham Library Innovation Team (DLIT). The funds will support DLIT’s newest Dedham Public Art Project, which entails a multi-phased painting of Dedham Square’s jersey barriers in partnership with Dedham Civic Pride and TheCollab. The barriers, which will return next spring, are part of the expanded sidewalk dining experience intended to support local restaurants and welcome visitors to the Square.

The Dedham Library Innovation Team (DLIT) is a non-profit organization established in 2010 committed to creating collaborative, positive partnerships between libraries, schools, public officials, businesses, and residents in order to support the strategic vision and development of a best-in-class, public library system in Dedham, Massachusetts.

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings in 2000 to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood and contiguous areas.  Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations.  The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
