Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Hope & Comfort, Inc.

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Hope & Comfort, Inc., an organization that provides essential hygiene products to people in need throughout Massachusetts. Grant funds will support the purchase of essential items like soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and related products. For families facing financial hardship, these everyday items can be difficult to afford, making programs like Hope & Comfort an important resource for healthier, more stable lives.

ABOUT Hope & Comfort, Inc

Hope & Comfort, Inc is a nonprofit organization that provides essential hygiene products like soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant, for people in need of it throughout Massachusetts. Their mission is to support the health, dignity, and confidence of children and adults in need of basic hygiene products. As the only nonprofit in Massachusetts exclusively focused on the distribution of hygiene essentials, Hope & Comfort supports health, dignity, and confidence which leads to increased school attendance and employment. Each year, the organization distributes more than 5 million products to people across the state.

ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, Westwood, and contiguous areas.  Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations, and non-profit organizations.  The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
