Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports The Dedham Community Association

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated to the Dedham Community Association, also known as Dedham Community House. The grant award funds will be used for safety and aesthetic improvements to the historic Haven House, including replacing three stairways, and railings with safer, historically accurate aesthetic materials and design.

ABOUT DEDHAM COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION (DEDHAM COMMUNITY HOUSE)

The Dedham Community House was founded in March of 1922 and has been a cornerstone of the community throughout its 100 years. DCH is dedicated to promoting educational, recreational, and civic interests to enhance the lives of all residents of Dedham and neighboring towns through innovative programs, community leadership and the preservation of its historic campus. In fulfillment of this mission, DCH operates a highly regarded preschool, a popular summer camp, summer pool, a variety of enriching classes for all ages, and several special seasonal events.

ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATIOn

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation was formed by Dedham Savings for the purpose of funding requests from community organizations which provide services to the communities that they serve. These communities generally, but not exclusively, include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood.  Typical requests are usually received from such organizations as schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation will accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice a year.
