The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has made a grant to West Suburban YMCA. Funds will be allocated towards capital improvements to the outdoor area of Newton Corner Place, a subsidized housing unit for up to twenty-eight formerly homeless men. Updates will include new patio furniture, rebuilding the garden beds and planting new plants and flowers, and the installation of fencing to partially enclose the area, providing some privacy and separation from the Y building and parking lot.
