The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Cathedral High School in Boston’s South End. Grant funds will be used to strengthen campus safety through security enhancements. Funds will support the purchase and installation of surveillance cameras, installation of four cameras to address current blind spots, as well as improved exterior lighting to increase overall visibility.

Funds will be used for re-fabrication of iron work, masonry repair, and restoration of the Farrington and Whiting Plot fences at Dedham Old Village Cemetery. The renovation work will provide a safer and more expository display to one of Dedham's most important historic resources.

The newly adopted system will require streamlining accounting processes to help refine workflows and maintain strong financial oversight to support BMSF’s long-term success.
